we are building a global community and not just a game because of this and our unique web3 features we want to be clear about our terminology throughout the entire ecosystem we have certain 'keywords' we use in the game, emails, website and discord to refer to various components of the vast and deep experience that is cthulhu awakens if you ever get lost or wonder about a special word or phrase here is our glossary play & earn this is our take on what is sometimes called play to earn we prefer this slight modification as it emphasies our 'game first' focus and the fact that the web3 aspects are completely optional for our players digital collectable this term refers to a digital asset that you own your ownership is secured on the blockchain and survives beyond any dependancy on the team or project we will secure your dcs in our own blockchain wallets (backed by stardust www stardust gg ) or at any time you can 'withdraw' your digital collectable and sell it on open markets like opensea ( www opensea com ) for more digital collectables special offer this term refers to a wide range of free goodies we give our players it is an umbrella term that includes (but not limited to) raffle tickets, agent digital collectibles , sanitorium digital collectibles , mythological digital collectibles and more private mint access list / access list this is a list of users who are granted an invite to a private mint; a chance to purchase digital collectibles before they are available to the public some older projects called this a 'whitelist' or 'whitelist mint' utility collectibles these are digital collectibles that grant additional value to the holder/owner for the agents, this means they are playable in the game for more on this see utility collectibles art collectibles these are digital collectibles that do not grant additional value beyond the joy of ownership and collecting they are limited runs and contain artwork from the game for more on this see art collectibles raffle ticket much like irl raffles, holding a raffle ticket entitles you to the chance to win a digital collectible (or other prizes) more here dormant / awakened agent digital collectibles are 'dormant' or 'wrapped' when first minted certain aspects of the agent are hidden from view until they are played in the game and 'awakened' which game extras (see below) each agent has are visible in the dormant state, but the actual amounts of exach extra wont be visible until the agent is 'awakened' game extras each agent comes with an additional random set of items that can be used in the game these items may include quantium, orbs, keys, credits and emeralds one thing to consider is that these bonuses get added to the player's pool of resources when the agent is activated in game, so they don't remain "personal" to the agent referral link everyone with an account on the member portal gets their own unique referral link let your friends and followers know about the cthulhu awakens project and the awesome demo when someone registers an account using your referral code, you'll both earn a raffle ticket for our weekly raffle ! m1 / m2 / etc unlike many games, we are sharing 'milestone' demos of the game along the development path this is part of our 'open and transparent' philosophy designed to encourage you to join us on the journey that is cthulhu awakens see roadmap
